This notice follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), in force since 1 September 2023. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to visitors from the EU or EEA, this notice covers it as well.
02What this site does not do
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. It has no forms, no user accounts and no newsletter. We build no visitor profiles and sell no visitor data.
03Server logs
For each page view, the web server logs your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type. We use these logs only to run the site and to find errors and attacks.
Host: Replit, Inc., 1001 E Hillsdale Blvd, Suite 400, Foster City, CA 94404, USA (privacy policy, terms of service, data processing agreement). Server location: European Union (Replit's Europe region). Logs are deleted after 30 days, unless an entry is needed to investigate a security incident. Under the GDPR, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
04Fonts and libraries from third parties
When a page loads, your browser fetches some files directly from two outside services. Each of them receives your IP address, the time of the request, your browser details and the address of this site.
- Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA, and Google Ireland Limited) delivers the typefaces Archivo and IBM Plex Mono from
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com. Google privacy policy. - jsDelivr, a public network for open-source files, delivers the animation libraries GSAP and Lenis from
cdn.jsdelivr.net. jsDelivr privacy policy.
They give the pages their typefaces and smooth scrolling. Under the GDPR, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent, fast site (Art. 6(1)(f)). If you block them, the site stays readable in system fonts, without animation.
05Tools on this site
Every tool on this site computes in your browser. Numbers you enter in a calculator are not transmitted. Files you drop into the Ledger Red-Flag Scanner on the Audits page are read on your device and never uploaded.
Some tools keep their settings in the page address after the # sign, so you can bookmark or share a result. Browsers never send that part to a server; it reaches others only if you share the link.
How we handle data inside a client engagement is set in that engagement's contract; see where memory lives and how audits work.
06What your browser stores
At most two entries end up in your browser's storage. Neither is a cookie or sent to us.
dacide.record.draft(localStorage). The Decision Record Builder on the Board decisions page keeps your draft here only if you choose to save it. It stays until you press "Clear it" under the tool or clear this site's data in your browser.dac.veil(sessionStorage). Set on the homepage so the short opening animation plays once per visit. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
07Email and phone
If you write to db@dacide.com or call +41 76 579 99 11, we use your details and message to answer you and, if you ask, to prepare an engagement. We keep the correspondence for as long as that takes and as Swiss law requires for business records (up to ten years), and pass it on only where the law obliges us to. GDPR legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f).
08Disclosure abroad
The server logs from section 03 are stored in the European Union, which the Federal Council recognises as having an adequate level of data protection. Replit, Inc. is a US company; its processing is governed by its data processing agreement. The two services in section 04 may process your IP address outside Switzerland, including in the USA. Google LLC participates in the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the Federal Council has recognised an adequate level of protection. jsDelivr serves files from servers worldwide.
09Your rights
You can ask which data about you we hold, and have it corrected, deleted or handed to you in a common electronic format. You can also object to its processing. Send your request to db@dacide.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we answer within 30 days.
You can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch. Visitors in the EU or EEA can also complain to the data protection authority in their country.
10Changes
As of 8 October 2026. We update this notice whenever the site changes how it handles data, for example if we host the fonts and libraries ourselves or add a tool that stores something.
